With such a great reputation behind it, many fans were amazed to see the Spider-Signal appear in the end credit scene of Captain America: Civil War, with Peter discovering the gadget on the web shooters that Tony Stark had built for him, unlike its comic counterpart which is located on Spidey's belt. Peter tried to confront the Vulture and was shocked when he realized that his high school crush Liz Tommes' father, which makes things worse when Peter goes to Liz's house for homecoming and is nervous. And while Molten Man is essentially a Z-list Spider-Man villain, he's the step-brother of Liz Allan. His body was transformed into molten rock, and he gained the ability to project radiation and generate heat. Used for illuminating criminals in the midst of their illegal acts and providing some much needed light in hard to see areas, the Spider-Signal has time and time again given Spidey not only a tactical advantage but a little bit of flair. In the comics, Molten Man's alter ego was Mark Raxton, a New York-born scientist who was accidentally exposed to alien radiation. The Spider-Signal has been a staple and unsung apart of Spidey's vast arsenal of tiny little gadgets since its first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #3 way back in 1963.
